Summary LDC is looking for an Analyst with good understanding of macroeconomic & energy, who will be responsible for gathering and analyzing energy data in a proficient and timely manner, providing the information and analysis to the Senior Trader.

Main Responsibilities

As a macro & flow quantitative analyst with an energy focus, you will:

– Develop and extend producer, consumer, macro models and tools for crude & petroleum products valuation

– Participate in the development of statistical and econometric models for energy forecasting with a macro approach

– Participate in the development of systematic trading models across fossil market

– Contribute to LDC proprietary quant analytics and support the upskilling of the quantitative toolkit across fossil energy market

– Publishing timely and innovative research on macroeconomic and political trends and their impact on energy market to the relevant stakeholders

– Collaborate with supporting the trading desk on any research and quantitative analysis needs

– Collaborate with the fundamental, macro and data analysis to develop forecasting methods

Experiences

5 years‘ experience in front office work experience in macroeconomics, preferably within an energy desk

Skills

– Solid understanding of energy derivatives products, as well as modelling, pricing, and hedging practices

– Strong coding skills in Python and SQL and understanding of cloud resources (Azure preferred)

– Fluency in applied statistics and econometrics

– Working knowledge of core concepts and methods in computational statistics, predictive modelling, machine learning

– Deep curiosity, and a passion for the intersection between macroeconomics and energy markets

– Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a proactive approach and the ability to work in the fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Required Languages

Education

Advanced degree in a quantitative field: Macro-Economics, Mathematics, Engineering Main
