Trainee – Energy, Building and Climate

Our work in building, reconstruction, and settlements focuses on proven products and solutions for cost efficient housing and social infrastructure (schools, social centres and health facilities). In our work on energy and climate, we link climate protection, renewable energies, community empowerment and poverty reduction through holistic approaches, which facilitate equal access to environmentally sound energy technologies.

OUR OFFER

We are looking for a trainee to support our teams „Energy & Climate“ and „Building & Settlement“ in our ongoing exciting projects and in developing new projects and business. With the traineeship, we provide a young graduate the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a dynamic consulting company active in renewable energies in Switzerland and in international cooperation.

The trainee will have to be based in Switzerland (preferably in St. Gallen). The working time is 60-100% for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 12 months. Planned starting date is 02.01.2023.

The monthly salary of the trainee at 100 % work time is CHF 3’150 (with a Masters Degree) or CHF 2’700 (Bachelor’s degree).

MAIN TASKS

  • Support the secretariat of the Swiss Small Hydro Association (which is managed by Skat Consulting) with the elaboration of communication products etc.
  • Support our international projects such as Zero-Emission-Building in China, Promoting Climate Responsive Building Material Production and Off-farm Employment in the Great Lakes Region
  • Support for improving and implementing the strategy for climate neutrality of Skat Consulting
  • Participate in business development, e.g. support for developing new business models, preparation of project proposals
